Job title: QA/QC Engineer - Concrete Company: DC Job type: Full-time Location: Erbil We’re seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer specializing in concrete to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: · Perform routine and advanced testing of concrete materials, including slump tests, compressive strength, air content, and temperature measurements. · Ensure compliance with mixed design specifications and industry standards. · Inspect incoming materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures) for quality and ensure they meet project requirements. · Oversee the batching process and ensure that proper procedures and ratios are followed in producing the concrete mix. · Maintain coordination with the batch plant to ensure the timely supply of quality concrete to the site. · Collect and document concrete samples for testing at different stages (on-site and off-site). · Oversee the curing and handling of test specimens. · Ensure that concrete placement and finishing procedures are done as per project and industry standards. · Prepare daily reports on concrete quality, test results, and any non-conformance issues. · Maintain records of material test certificates and concrete mix designs. · Report findings to the project manager and provide recommendations for improving quality standards. · Ensure compliance with local and international concrete standards. · Review concrete mix designs and ensure adherence to specified project requirements. · Conduct quality audits and inspections on-site to identify potential issues early. · Identify concrete quality issues on-site and recommend corrective actions. · Address and resolve non-conformance issues related to concrete quality and construction practices. · Liaise with construction and site management teams to ensure that quality control protocols are understood and implemented. · Work closely with suppliers and contractors to deliver quality materials and services. Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, focusing on materials or structural engineering. · Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in concrete quality control, material testing, or construction quality assurance. · Strong knowledge of concrete mix design, material properties, and testing standards. · Proficient in performing concrete tests and interpreting results. · Familiarity with construction site practices and quality control processes. · Strong communication and reporting skills. · Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. · Certification in Quality Control or Concrete Technology (preferred, e.g., ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician).
