Job Announcement Position: Procurement Officer Company: SPEC Energy for Oil and Gas Location: Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq About the Role: SPEC Energy for Oil and Gas is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage procurement activities from our office in Erbil. The successful candidate will have experience in handling inquiries and sourcing goods/services efficiently, without requiring physical visits to bazaars in Erbil or Baghdad. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate and execute procurement processes, including sending and managing inquiries. • Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. • Prepare purchase orders and maintain detailed procurement records. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during procurement activities. • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Qualifications: • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the oil and gas sector. • Strong negotiation and communication skills. • Familiarity with procurement processes and systems. • Ability to work independently from the office with minimal supervision. • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software. • Fluency in English and Kurdish (Arabic is a plus).
