Job Description

We Are Hiring! Job Title: Microfinance Specialist Location: Sulaymaniyah Job Description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial inclusion and possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients. This role involves a combination of client-facing activities, financial analysis, and administrative tasks with senior management. Roles & Responsibilities: • Serve as a core member of the team and support all team efforts related to work planning, reporting, relationship management, and internal knowledge management. • Assessing the creditworthiness of micro-entrepreneurs, small businesses, and individuals seeking financial assistance through our mobile platform. • Write and oversee writing of technical proposals for grants and/or contracts. • Review and study proposed rescheduled loans’ cases, in addition to cases proposed to be transferred to the legal affairs to ensure their compliance with policies and conditions before credit committees’ approval. • Prepare a credit memorandum for all revised cases to be presented and approved by credit committees. • Understand and analyze the financial statements and extract the most important financial indicators. • Monitor microfinance portfolio performance monthly and prepare the necessary portfolio analysis reports. • Guide and oversee consultants to provide technical services to financial institutions working. • Document progress, resolve issues, and initiate improvements when needed. • Evaluate clients in terms of loan value (taking in consideration client’s work nature) in order not to reach the default stage with the client. • Evaluating and minimizing credit risk through reviewing and examining documents and financial statements of the applying customer (Intermediaries /Financial institutions) to ensure its compliance with credit terms and conditions. • Visit and advise delinquent client to pay instalments and in case of non-payment, a report shall be prepared by reasons of delays and raising it to the direct supervisor. Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Business, Finance, Banking or related field. A master’s degree preferred. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in microfinance, housing finance, preferably in digital financial sector.
