Job Announcement: General Manager – Terminal Operations Location: Arbat, Sulaymaniyah, Iraq Company: Taurus Tank Terminal

Taurus Tank Terminal is looking for a General Manager – Terminal Operations to lead and oversee all terminal functions including operations, maintenance, engineering, and QHSE. This is a senior leadership role focused on safety, operational excellence, and strategic execution across terminal activities.

Position Overview: The General Manager will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of terminal operations. This includes overseeing product movement, equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, and team performance. The role demands strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Lead terminal operations, maintenance, and engineering activities to meet safety and performance targets. Ensure the secure and efficient movement of hydrocarbon products. Oversee QA/QC, lab testing, inventory control, and product accounting. Manage maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime. Direct budgeting processes and ensure alignment with financial plans. Maintain strong relations with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders. Lead and mentor cross-functional teams; ensure clear communication and productivity. Report regularly to senior management and the CEO on operational performance. Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.

Experience: Minimum of 20 years in terminal, oil & gas, refining, or chemical operations. At least 10 years in leadership roles, with 5+ years in senior management positions at mid-sized or large facilities.
